Full Moon in Aries - Oct 10th

It's definitely an advantage to live our lives with the knowledge that we are made up of energy and that everything around us is also made of energy.....and we need to remember that our emotions are also just energy!
E-motions (energy in motion) come and go and they can also be affected by what is going on around us energetically. 
The full moon is one of those things that can greatly affect our energy/emotions as the fuller the moon, the greater the pull on the water in our body (just like the moon pulls the tides) and guess where our energy vibrations are most active? Within the water in our bodies! 
We are made up of around 60% water so there can be a lot of emotional shifts going on during the lunar phases which are of course heightened when the moon is at it's fullest. Just ask teachers, nurses and doctors how their shifts go around the full moon!
And depending on what time of the year it is and where the moon is in the sky, it can have an extra layer of specific energy that we can harness and use for our benefit.
You don't have to be an Aries to make use of this full moon energy as it affects all star signs, although those born under the Aries sign may feel this energy a little more than others.

So what's happening energetically for us this full moon?

This month's full moon occurs in Aries on October 10th at 7.55am (AEST) here in Australia. 

Full moons are always a time of powerful manifesting, achieving our goals and releasing energy that we no longer want or need to carry over to the next month. And just as the full moon marks a completion or an ending to something....it is also the start of something new as the cycle begins again.
This Aries full moon energy:
  • is strongly pushing you to turn inwards and reflect. Now is a great time to check in with yourself and your past thoughts and goals. Congratulate yourself if you have come further than where you have been in the past in regards to your mindset and if you have taken action on things that you wanted to take. If you are still waiting for that shift in your thoughts and nothing has changed yet, ask yourself what you can do to make that next step. You don't have to achieve anything right now but it's a great time to put that next step in place.
  • as there is a combative energy around, it is a great time to do solo projects and just spend time with yourself. Journal, go for walks alone and even do some inner child work. Ask yourself what you needed back then and what you need now. Are the two the same? Can you deliver both to yourself at this point in time?
  • there is also an emphasis on the relationships in your life. Are you getting what you need? And are you giving enough to your important relationships? It's not the time to hash anything out with anyone but think on your boundaries and start to display behaviours and actions that reflect these. Has someone been needing your attention or love? Can you do something small for them or spend some quality time with them?
  • If something has felt hard and heavy to shift or or even take action on, you might find that now is the time to try again. There is a lovely flow of energy with some roadblocks being removed so you may find things are more effortless and lighter to move right now!
  • because there is some aggression and perhaps flared tempers around at the moment, be aware that you might pick up on this energetically and start to feel frustrated or angry. Remember this is just an energy passing though and it may or may not be yours! Engage in some soothing and peaceful activities like taking a bath, meditation, walks, art or anything that calms your soul and try not to get involved in any arguments!
  • if there is an opportunity to communicate your needs to someone in a gentle and peaceful manner, please go for it! This is a great time to speak up for yourself and create some balance if there has been anything that you feel is off kilter. Conversation creates change so if change is needed and it can be done healthily, use this strong full moon energy to support that!

Support for Kids

Encourage kids to have some alone time whether that is giving them a solo project to work on or reminding them of some great activities that can be done alone. If you have a child that is not a fan of solo time, find peaceful activities that can be done side by side without lots of interaction and teamwork. This is a great time for independent thinking and building that relationship with self.

If your kids are picking up on that fiery, combative energy that is around and getting into arguments or fights, get them into water! Ocean, lake, pool, bath, shower, dam, whatever...let them get their energy out into the water which can miraculously disperse that pent up fizz going on!

If any little or big kids are more withdrawn or sullen than usual, check in what they need from you? Have they had enough quality time with you lately? Can you be present with them at the moment? Even if it's being in the same room and doing solo activities side by side just to show them you are there for them if they need you.
